"His reek infected as many as it blew upon" was said of the death of Patrick Hamilton, a former pupil of Linlithgow Grammer School.
He was burned at the stake in St. Andrews in 1528. Due to a rainstorm he took 6 hours to die amidst great smoke. His martyrdom affected many people.

Please note that Annet House is an old, two-story, listed building. The garden is terraced on four levels.

Access is therefore restricted for those with limited mobility.

An audio visual presentation of the Museum and Garden is available in the reception area for those unable to visit the upstairs exhibitions.
